Short story: The truth about independent women

Being an independent woman means you work your ass off. You clean the house. You make dinners. You make money. You follow your passions. It means you are able to afford the rent and shop for groceries with your own paycheck. Do I consider myself an Independent woman? The answer is yes, and I am not ashamed of that. And all the ladies out there shouldn't be ashamed of that because it's not a crime being one.

What makes some independent women not to accept their nature and stand out is the notion that society has about them. Most people think a woman being independent is going against nature, is trying to take over the role of men in their lives ( talking about the woman in pants ). We love our men,  we being independent isn't us taking their position. A woman can have a man she adores and respects in her life and still be independent.

What people don't know is that it feels good being in control, being able to take care of things and pursue our dreams and buy the stuff we want, and go to our dream cities, and take ourselves to expensive restaurants, and drive our dream cars and do all we want whether we got a man or not.


 Dear men ...

We do love you, we do respect you, we are not trying to take your position or mock your manhood. But y'all need to know that just because your woman is independent then you shouldn't take care of her. Most independent women don't say it but deep inside that's they want. They want you to take them to fancy dates, pay the bills and spoil them with gifts despite the fact they can afford all that. They need men who will take care of them because they were born receivers and you were born givers.

Dear men...

Independent women are not trying to threaten you, working hard and making their own money, and driving expensive cars shouldn't threaten you. Because just like you they are trying to make ends meet. Instead, y'all should use that as a motivation to work harder (speaking about levels).

Dear men ...

Most independent women look like they seem to have it all planned out. They all look strong and bold, but deep inside they are still soft and vulnerable. And they need your love and affection just like all women.

Dear men ...

All the independent women out there who work in male-dominated fields (engineering and the like) are not trying to compete with you. They are just pursuing their dreams and passion as you are.

Dear men...

Those independent women out there who speak their minds,  and work very hard threaten you don't they. And deep inside most of you doubt if they can make good wives, good mothers. But I want you to know that they are still women, they are nurturers and caretakers in nature.

Dear men ...

Just because she takes herself to places, takes a good care of herself does not mean she does not need you. You love her, get her.
