How to be the best version of yourself ( Without Emptying your Wallet)

How you look and feel directly affects how you steer your destiny. Sadly, many people believe they have no control over these things because they cannot afford expensive accouterments to enhance their lives. This is an unwarranted misconception.

In today’s post, we share insight on how to keep yourself young and vibrant on the inside while showing your best face to the outside.

Boost your self-confidence.

Self-confidence is the key to being the best version of yourself. The most successful people are the most productive, and having self-confidence makes you productive. When you get things done, you feel good about yourself, and when you feel good about yourself, it shows.

Something else to consider is that when you are more confident in yourself, your self-esteem begins to rise.

You can start to boost your self-confidence by asking lots of questions about yourself and how you do things. Another idea from NetDoctor is to do something nice for someone else. At home, write in a journal, and don’t be afraid to self-talk with positive affirmations. None of these will cost you a dime, but these simple acts are a far greater reward than anything that money could ever buy.

Treat yourself.

Have you ever noticed how you feel when someone gives you a gift? You can probably feel it in your heart and everyone sees it in your smile. Do the same for yourself. Evaluate what you enjoy the most for yourself — not for your family, not for your children. For you.

Two common things that women cite are clothing and makeup. A nice pair of leggings, designer jeans, or even comfortable underwear that naturally hug your body can go a long way toward improving your overall mood and confidence levels.

Don’t feel guilty for buying yourself a few nice pieces of clothing, and, remember, you do not have to invest in big-name brands. There is plenty of affordable clothing that prioritizes quality over clever marketing.

Trigger endorphins.

Giving yourself a self-confidence boost and doing something nice for you are a great start. But if you want to truly look and feel younger, more vibrant, and healthier, you’re going to want endorphins.

Endorphins, which were first identified back in the 1970s, are hormones that the brain releases in response to stress or pain, but they are also triggered by positive actions, such as physical activity.

Exercise and sex are two of the quickest ways to induce endorphin production, and the latter will also provide you a boost of dopamine. Like endorphins, dopamine is released in response to stimuli, but, in this case, it’s pleasure.

You can also increase dopamine production by eating well — dark chocolate and berries are a good choice — and getting plenty of sleep.

Clean Up Your Space

Believe it or not, but keeping your home neat, clean, and tidy can work wonders on your stress levels. Not only does clutter cause spikes in anxiety and stress, but it can also trap “negative energy,” which can affect everyone in your family.

So, set a regular cleaning schedule and try to keep your belongings as organized as you can. You may be surprised by how much better you feel — and you don’t need to spend a penny to keep it that way!

Giving yourself what you need to function as a healthy, whole adult does not have to take a toll on your bank account. Instead, make yourself a priority, and do things every day that make you feel good and feel younger. This could be anything from wearing a cozy pair of panties to getting cozy with your intimate partner.

Remember, it’s okay to spoil yourself a little bit. You deserve it, and you’ll be all the better for it.
