Friendship Goals, What Kind of a Friend Are You?

There is a famous saying that 'a friend in need is a friend indeed'. Among its many interpretations, the most precise one is that – a friend when you are in need is a true friend – or to clarify it more, a friend who stands by you when you are in times of difficulty (in need) is a true friend (indeed)

In the world of friends, most people have been disappointed by the quality or type of friendship given.

It is easy to blame others for being disloyal or being bad friends, but – have you ever wondered what kind of a friend you are? Have you ever evaluated the quality of friendship you give to those you consider to be your friends? So, before you start pointing fingers for others being bad friends, make sure you are a good friend.

What kind of friend are you? What kind of friends do you have? Are you all genuine to each other or you are all being fake to each other? Perhaps you even know that the friends you hang around with cannot be trusted even with a minor secret – so why have them?

Could it be because they are popular? Or you are lonely and you just want to be included – that you would rather have fake friends than none at all? But what does having fake friends make you? Fake as well?

Friends are supposed to be people you can count on through both good times and hard times. They are the people you have fun with and the people you swallow the bitter pill of life with. Or the people you rely on to bail you out when things are up to your neck.

Most importantly, friends are supposed not to be just good friends but also the ones you share the same vision with – the vision of your life and your future. Having friends with different visions can make you lack motivation and support to reach your vision. Do not hang around fake friends unless it is for a very good reason.

Bad friends fuel you with negative energy and at the end of the day, it can be detrimental to your life. Positive energy on the other hand – which comes from a good company, will improve you as a person and lead you to the fulfillment of your life purpose.

So, good friends and true friends show themselves in deeds and when in need. Therefore choose them wisely with a clear head.
