6 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HER PERIODS

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN SHE IS AT THAT TIME OF THE MONTH.

I dedicate this to all the men out there; the husbands, the brothers, the boyfriends, the fathers. This might not seem important to you, but I assure you once you get to understand all this, things between you and her will get much better.

I do believe that all men are aware that women go through this, but what you need to know is that periods are not just about the blood, there is a lot of stuff involved.

Period Pain:

What motivated me to write this was because I realized that most men don't just get it. It's her time of the month and she is all moody and instead of being understanding to her most men make it even worse. I totally get it, it is probably not your fault for her acting that way, but your reaction could make things between you two less complicated. And I thought maybe knowing what really happens to your girl would help solve such a situation.

Before getting to know the period chronicles,  it is important to know her period dates (when it really happens ), the length of her cycle, some of the signs associated with it.  I know you might be asking yourself like what is the use of all that, but it doesn't kill you knowing such details instead it will just show her how much you care.

  • PMS is the real deal.

I bet most of you are not aware of this, or probably didn't know if it exists. Shortly Pre-menstrual Syndrome are symptoms that indicate that her periods are getting close.

The premenstrual syndrome occurs during the week or so before her period begins, and it really can make her feel like total crap.
Due to the changes in her hormones her sleeping patterns are likely to change, she could start eating more or less, cry for no reason and get angry at you for very minor reasons. All these and more are just part of the process and it's up to you to man up and take good care of your girl.

  •  Cramps are painful.

When her periods begin, her chemical levels change so that her uterus can expel its lining.
This process involves the contraction of the uterus ( the source of the pain) which can feel like throbbing or a dull, constant ache that can radiate from her lower abdomen to her back and thighs. It can also lead to complaints like diarrhea and vomiting.
It won't cost you a thing if you just check her up from time to time and ask her how she is doing, or give her that tummy massage,  or get her hot chocolate or something.

  • Her period might kill her mood or make her much hornier.
Cramps can make sex seem unappealing when the pain is just too much, as can the social stigma of getting it on while bleeding. She may assume you’d be uncomfortable with it, or it may be something she’s self-conscious about.
But some women actually find their arousal increases during their period, due to the rise of hormone ( estrogen and progesterone ) levels.

Despite what she feels, you have to accept that and understand her.

  • Skipping periods is sometimes normal.

This is one of the main things that freaks out most men. Boy, you need to take it easy because skipping periods doesn't always mean that she is pregnant. The birth control pills, weather, foods, change of scenery could all contribute to that.

So you need to relax so that she can relax too.

  • Her periods might make her want you more or withdraw from you.
Every girl's hormones hit different during her periods. Some girls will need more attention from you, more love, and care and some may want to stay away from you and that may make you feel rejected. Always remember it is not her fault, it is just the hormones talking.

Take your time and understand her, and what she needs during that time. Treat her like the queen she is.

  • Periods open a door for hunger and food cravings.
It's very common for her to experience an increase in appetite during her periods. The hormonal changes associated with the menstrual cycle can make her feel hungrier, and the mood changes that sometimes accompany her period might lead her to crave foods that are high in carbohydrates and/or sugar.

So you can grab her something to eat during that time and surprise her . Trust me she will love you with all her heart.

IMPORTANT TIP:  Assuming that you know her time of the month, you can get her pads, tampons, or whatever she is using from time to time.
