Initially I read the novel ,and after a year or so I decided to check the series (has 2 seasons with 13 episodes each) which was way more interesting, so I highly recommend this one. The story is kind of unique , and there are lot of lessons in it.
13 Reasons Why is an American high school drama series developed for Netflix based on the 2007 novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. The series is about a seventeen-year-old high school student, Clay Jensen, and his dead friend Hannah Baker,
who had committed suicide after being traumatized by a culture of gossip and
sexual assault at her high school and a lack of support from her friends
and her school. A box of cassette tapes recorded by Hannah in the lead up to her suicide detail thirteen reasons why she ended her life, whereby everyone who was involved either directly or indirectly had to listen to the tapes.
