About Me

THE POWER OF READING

There are so many times that I've been referred to as a bookworm(that one person who reads books a lot). I have been this way like forever, have been reading since when I was a little girl, at that age I used to read storybooks then I grew up started reading novels and books of other genres.

Well for me, reading is something I do love, it's something I do enjoy like a hobby or something. I didn't learn to love reading, I guess for my side it's inborn. Growing up, I saw my dad reading novels in his free time, he did not tell me like am supposed to read but seeing him read each and every time is what made the reading spirit grow in me.

And now reading has become a part of my life, the good news is that the more you read, the more you become a good reader that is the desire to read becomes higher, and your speed grows (you can read a lot in a short period of time). And I want you all to know that there is power in reading, be it books, articles, just anything.

All am saying here is not from research on google or from people's testimonies, this is me and my experience in reading.

I know reading is not a thing for everyone, but you can start learning how to do it, you start small then get bigger little by little. And you don't need to read like all the books, well no; just start reading something that you think you are interested in and sooner or later it will become a habit.

Just choose a book and you can start reading a page per day then two pages and so on. And reading does not have to be just books, the internet is everywhere in this century; so if you think reading a book could be cumbersome for you; then at least look for a useful article from google each day from any field of your interest(fashion, health, technology, cars just anything).

Why am I saying all this? Yes, I might not be perfect but reading has highly contributed to the kind of person I am today. With reading, you can explore the whole world in an hour or so, you can get knowledge of things you have never encountered or done before. You just get to know things and increase your brainpower. It even improves your decision-making skills since you have a lot that you know. And trust me you will never miss something to talk about when you meet with somebody new.

It even improves your decision-making skills since you have a lot that you know.
So make it a goal to read something new each day of your life, I highly recommend reading books (you don't need hard-copies like, in the old times, there are free soft-copies that you can easily have in your smartphone, tablet, etc)

But if book reading is not a thing for you, then start reading internet articles, about something new each day (google has everything). Don't just base on one field of interest, keep exploring your options: Ask  google your most embarrassing questions, and read about them.

The options are endless, we now have e-learning where you can find anything online all you need is a smartphone or computer and an internet connection. So you don't have excuses for not reading.

You just read, read, and read.
