So you want to have the forever after just like in the fairy tales or just like in the movies you have watched. You want to grow old with the other person. It is always easier said than done. Movies and books always make relationships seem easy, not until you get to the real thing.

Despite all that  real long term relationships do happen. Yes, there are always ups and downs because honestly speaking nobody is perfect out there.

1. Forgive and forget. 

Not everyone is the same so let the old wounds go with forgiveness. Do not carry the bitterness of your past relationships to your future relationships.

2. Communicate, communicate, communicate

After all, it's the key, just talk it out.

3. Admit it when you make a mistake

Don't try to lie about it.

4. Don't try to make all the relationship decisions by yourself.

5. Show kindness and compassion to other people other than him/her

It shows the best in you.

6. Don't let fear replace trust. 

Just because other people get hurt it doesn't mean he/she will hurt you too.

7.Love your partner and show it.

8. Always remember the positives over the negatives and it's always going to work out.

9. Lower your expectations.
